A loving family in Brooklyn, NY, seeks an amazing nanny for their 2-year-old daughter. They are also expecting a newborn by the end of the year, so someone with experience managing multiple children is a must. They would love a professional and dependable nanny. Someone who is transparent, trustworthy, clean & organized, and a great team player.
The ideal candidate must have great communication skills. Must be proactive, and a self-starter and knows how to troubleshoot issues on their own. Someone with the ability to create an engaging, happy, and stimulating atmosphere will excel in this role. Lastly, this is a vegetarian household. You will be expected to make vegetarian meals for their toddler.
This is a live-out position:
This is a part-time position.
The schedule is for four days a week, from 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM. (32/hrs work weeks) Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
Compensation & Benefits
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-40/hr hour, PTO, including paid federal holidays. There are two weeks of vacation and a discretionary performance bonus.
Healthcare Stipend
Start Date: September Start date. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding child development
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of a toddler and later infant
School drop off and pick-ups. Nanny must be comfortable taking the train with the children.
Adjust activities based on the toddler’s interest and adjust to her learning style
Lots of outdoor activities.
Adhere to the toddler’s schedule, including naps/sleep, bath, and activities
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, enrichment, etc.)
Facilitate physical development (e.g. running, stacking, using utensils, etc.) in a high-energy, creative, and playful way
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to make very simple vegetarian meals for toddlers.
Laundry for the children.
When their infant arrives: Bottle feedings, diaper changes, keeping track of babies items to ensure they stay stocked, planning engaging and age-appropriate activities, and eventually potty training.
Qualifications:
U.S Work Authorization
Minimum of 4 years of professional full-time or part-time childcare experience
Associate Degree, or higher
Multiple experiences geared towards toddlers and newborns.
Up to date on all vaccinations (T-dap)
Covid vaccinated and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
