A Nanny/Family Assistant is Needed for Brooklyn Heights Family
Brooklyn Heights, BK
A private family in Brooklyn Heights seeks a college-educated Nanny/Family Assistant to join their parenting team. They have two boys, one who is in school full-time and another who will be in school part-time next fall. Until next fall, the role will focus on the youngest son, house tasks, pick-ups/drop-offs of their oldest, and after-school care of both children. After their youngest son starts school, the nanny will focus more on the Family Assistant tasks during school hours. This role will require you to expertly assist with admin tasks, including calendar management, scheduling and confirming appointments, responding to emails and invitations, planning/coordinating travel and some small event coordination. On-site services include household organization, keeping kid’s rooms tidy, kid’s laundry, running errands and keeping homes stocked with all household and office supplies.
Their oldest son loves books, bike riding, playing outside, cooking, and helping. At the same time, their youngest is sweet and chill and loves just being with people. Both kids are polite and friendly and used to a structured routine. The ideal person for this role is someone who can incorporate all of their favorite things into a productive day. The nanny must be proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Their family recently relocated to Brooklyn, so someone familiar with fun activities to do in Brooklyn Heights is a huge plus. The family also spends a month each year at their home in Lake Tahoe and expects other travel requirements. Candidates should be comfortable with dogs as they have a 40lb Golden Retriever mix.
This position is a full-time, live-out position.
The schedule is Monday-Friday, from 7:45 AM - 5:30 PM daily. (45-50/hrs work weeks) with flexibility for date nights and overtime as-needed.
Travel Details:
The family spends a month each summer at their home in Lake Tahoe and expect there to be other possible travel requirements. Nanny is expected to join for Tahoe.
Nanny should have or be ready to have an updated passport, and family can help coordinate TSA Pre and Clear.
