Chappaqua, New York, first-time parents seek a full-time, career-live-out nanny for their baby, who will be 5-months when the position starts. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail orientated, easygoing, positive, flexible, respectful, and professional. Their candidate has lots of experience working with infants and can bring their knowledge to the table. The ability to be creative and create an engaging, proactive, and calm atmosphere will help excel in this role. The family has a Bernedoodle, which is a large dog. The ideal candidates must be comfortable around dogs.
Job Detail
This position is a live-out position:
This is a full-time, live-out position. This position can start earlier if the nanny is okay working part-time as early as July till the position becomes Full-time in August.
The schedule is Monday through Friday.
Monday: 8-6:30
Tuesday: 9-5
Wednesday: 8-6:30
Thursday: 8-6:30
Friday: 9-12 (42.5/hrs work weeks) Additional hours may be required with notice—so ideal for a candidate who is flexible.
Compensation & Benefits
All positions are paid gross with overtime. This position is $25-$35+ an hour. In addition, there is PTO and Paid federal holidays. Paid vacation, health insurance contribution.
Start Date: The position will begin no later than August 23rd.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first—always.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of infant
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Bottle feedings, diaper changes, baby’s laundry, keeping track of baby items to ensure they stay stocked, planning engaging and age-appropriate activities, and eventually potty training!
Manage daily care and supervision of infant
Adhere to the infant’s schedule, including naps/sleep and activities
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, enrichment, etc.)
Facilitate physical development (e.g. running, stacking, using utensils, etc.) in a high-energy, creative, and playful way
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates
Monitor the development of fine motor and sensory skills.
Help with speech and language acquisition.
Manage all aspects of children’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization – including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books, diaper bag, etc.
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Must drive with a valid and clean license
Minimum of 5-years of professional full-time or part-time childcare experience
Infant experience
CPR and First-Aid certifications
Must take Covid very seriously
Comfortable getting Covid-19 tests and vaccinations.
