A loving family in Charleston, SC, is looking for an experienced, college-educated nanny for their 3-month-old daughter. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, live-in or out. They are looking for a nanny with lots of energy who can create an engaging, happy, and stimulating atmosphere for their daughter.
Someone friendly, a great communicator, and adores both children and pets. The candidate must be knowledgeable in child development to track their infant growth and changing needs. The nanny should be proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Lastly, you must be comfortable around multiple cats.
This position is flexible, being live-in and/or live-out position:
The position is Monday - Friday. In the beginning the schedule will be from 8 am - 12 pm, and evening help from about 7 pm - 11 pm while the baby is transitioning from NCS.
When the baby is a little older, the schedule will change to 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. (50+/hrs. work week) Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
Live-in Accommodation:
Nanny will have a private room in the family's home and private bathroom.
Compensation & Benefits
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $35-$45/hour PTO, including paid federal holidays. There are two weeks of vacation and a discretionary performance bonus.
Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is very open about Covid.
Start Date: Begins mid-February. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family’s parenting style
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the infant
Bottle feeding, and later preparing solids and meals
Ability to change diapers and eventually potty train.
Must do infants' laundry.
Must keep track of infant items (e.g., diapers, wipes, milk, etc., ) to ensure they stay stocked.
Planning engaging and age-appropriate activities.
Adhere to the infants schedule, including naps/sleep, bath-time and activities
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, enrichment, reading, flashcards, games and active play etc.)
Facilitate physical development (e.g. running, stacking, using utensils, etc.) in a high-energy, creative, and playful way
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Manage all aspects of the toddler’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.
Qualifications:
● US, Work Authorization
● Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
● Infant experience
● Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
● Driver’s License
● Passport
● Travel experience
● Must know how to swim
● Up to date on all vaccinations
● Covid vaccinated and boosted
● CPR and First-Aid certifications
