A laid-back affluent family is looking for a career nanny to start with their two children, a 2.5-year-old and a newborn, in mid-January. The family lives in Dumbo and would like someone with experience working there.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone with experience working with both newborns and toddlers. Someone who is fun, loving, and patient. Their oldest daughter loves meeting new friends, walking, coloring, and reading books. She loves books! So someone who can read with her, take her to the bookstore and library, and create an enriching environment filled with play, learning, and laughter for both children would be great. The family travels to their home in Hampton as well as to Florida. Nanny must be open to traveling once in a while with family.
Start Date (Contact date): Mid-January.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 am - 6 pm, (50-hrs a week.)
Live-out/in: Live out.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly pay is $35-$40. Which is an annualized base compensation of 85k-114k. (Higher compensation is in accordance with experience.)
PTO, including paid federal holidays. There are two weeks of vacation and a discretionary performance bonus.

The family is open about Covid but asks that the applicant is up to date on vaccinations.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the children (there is also a full-time housekeeper)
Ability to handle mother’s milk or prepare formula and sterilize bottles
Ability to change diapers and eventually potty train.
To ensure they stay stocked, keep track of children’s items (e.g., diapers, wipes, milk, etc.).
Engaged in facilitating intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, enrichment, reading, flashcards, games and active play, etc.)
Will find activities in the neighborhood to suggest, for example, classes or playgroups.
Outgoing and friendly (i.e., will make friends with other nannies, arrange playdates, etc.)
Ability to make school lunches and very simple meals for the children
Adhere to the children’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, any afterschool activities, etc.)
Light housekeeping (e,g, emptying and loading the dishwasher, cleaning up after children, doing children’s laundry.)
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 3 years of professional Nanny experience
Minimum of 3 amazing references
Newborn experience
Passport Ready
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
