Caring Nanny Needed For A Family of Two Children in Fairfield CT
A loving family is looking for a caring yet professional nanny for their two daughters, ages 3.5 years and 10-months. The candidate is expected to be reliable, active, and conscientious. The candidate must also be passionate about the children's development and is capable of helping them achieve their developmental milestones. The children don't have any known allergies, but pork and shellfish are not accepted in the family household.
This is a five-day (M-F) live-out position. The family requires that candidates have received the COVID vaccine, including a booster, plus annual flu shot. The ideal candidate for this role must have years of both infant and toddler experience.
Job Detail (Position detail can change as the family works out their needs)
This position is flexible for the live-in or live-out positions:
Monday and Wednesday, 7:00 AM -12:00 PM.
Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 6:45/7:00 AM - 5/6:00 PM. Guaranteed 40hr work weeks.
· Guest room with full bathroom which includes a shower on the first floor.
Compensation & Benefits
All positions are paid gross with overtime. This position is $27-$30/hour, and PTO [7 Paid federal holidays, 2 weeks of vacation, one week overlapping with family, and 3 sick days] and a discretionary performance bonus
Start Date: This is a long-term role, and the position starts as soon as the family can find the right candidate.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the children
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Feedings, diaper changes, potty training, children’s laundry, keeping track of the children’s items to ensure they stay stocked, planning engaging and age-appropriate activities, and eventually potty training!
Manage daily care and supervision of a toddler
Adhere to children’s schedule, including naps/sleep and activities
Facilitate intellectual development (eg. words, numbers, enrichment, etc)
Facilitate physical development (eg. running, stacking, using utensils, etc) in a high-energy, creative and playful way
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates
Manage all aspects of children’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization – including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books, diaper bag, etc.
The US Work Authorization
Valid State ID or Driver’s License
Minimum of 3 years of professional full-time or part-time Nanny experience
Both Infant and Toddler experience
CPR and First-Aid certifications
Must know how to swim
Must know how to drive
