A loving family in Greenwich Village is looking for a proactive and developmentally focused nanny for their 2 1/2-year-old sons. Their son is smart, verbal, fun, and very sweet. He enjoys nature, walks, books, art as well as his 2’s program. Their family is seeking a kind and warm nanny who can help further inspire his growing curiosity.
The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about childcare. Someone who is organized, patient, and a self-starter and knows how to troubleshoot issues on their own. A background in early childhood education is always great, however, experience working with toddlers/young children is a huge plus.
Job Detail (Position detail can change as the family works out their needs)
This position is a live-out position:
Mon - Fri (40 hours total)
3 days of the week 8:15am-1:15pm
2 days of the week 8:15am-8:45pm
Must be covid vaccinated, and already boosted or with plans to be boosted.
Traveling Details
This position requires little travel due to covid, however, family travels a few times a year.
Compensation & Benefits
All positions are paid gross with overtime. This position is $25-$35 hour, and PTO [7 Paid federal holidays, 2 weeks of vacation one week overlapping with family, and 5 sick days] and a discretionary performance bonus.
Start Date: The position will begin as soon as the family finds the right fit for their parenting team. This is a long-term role, and the position starts as soon as the family can find the right candidate.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g. reading, spelling, numbers, arts and crafts, enrichment, etc)
Facilitate physical development (e.g. running, climbing, stacking, using utensils, etc) in a high-energy, creative, and playful way
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attend playdates
Organize calendar, arrange outings, etc
Active engagement and clear communication with work-at-home parents
Embraces family parenting style
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of toddler
Cook and prepare healthy meals and snacks for toddler
Adhere to toddler’s schedule, including naps/sleep and activities
Manage all aspects of the toddler’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization – including, meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books, diaper bag, etc.
Qualifications
US Work Authorization
Valid State ID or Driver’s license
At least 3 years of professional full-time or part-time childcare experience
Comfortable cooking for a toddler
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable getting Covid-19 tested, vaccinated, and willing to get the booster
Passionate about childcare
