Greenwich Village Manhattan Nanny
Mother Helper Needed for a Family of Two Children in Manhattan
A loving family in Manhattan is looking for a developmentally focused nanny for their two sons ages 3.5, and 18 months old. A nanny who has a background or exposure to the RIE philosophy would excel in this role. The oldest child has autism. So, the ideal candidate for this position must be nurturing, engaging, communicative, and having experience with children with autism is a huge plus, in addition to caring for more than one child. The candidate must also be mindful of allergies; the youngest is allergic to peanuts.
The ideal candidate for this position is loving. The oldest child is categorized as gifted, so he’ll excel in mathematics and reading. But sensory experience and social anxiety are difficulties that are present that are balanced out with nurturing. The youngest is more outgoing, active, and social; always making new friends and reaching out. The candidate should be punctual, consistent, and great with children. Feedback with the parents about any concerns with the kids is mandatory. Someone who is organized, patient, and a self-starter and knows how to troubleshoot issues on their own. A background in early childhood education is always great.
The family has a small dog, so the candidate must be pet friendly.
