Creative, Full-time Nanny Needed in Pacific Palisades, CA

Laid back family, from the Pacific Palisades, is looking for a pre-emptive and developmentally focused nanny for their 2-year-old and newborn due in May. Family will have an NCS that would care for the newborn for two or three months pending on the infants sleep pattern. Afterward nanny will take over care. Their daughter loves books although probably won’t sit through it. She is curious about sticks and leaves and enjoys painting with her food. Family is seeking a nanny who can help inspire her curiosity, as well as someone who also has experience with infants.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is passionate about childcare.  Someone who is a self-starter and knows how to troubleshoot issues on their own. Someone who doesn’t mind getting down and dirty with their child. Also, someone who comfortable around cats, and a swimmer. A background is early childhood education is always great, however experience working with newborn and school ages children is a huge plus.

This position is a live-in or out position: (housing details)

  • This is a full-time, live-in or out position.

  • The schedule is Monday through Friday, anywhere between 40-50hrs. Additional hours, and travels may be required with advance notice. So ideal a candidate who is flexible.

  • Must be able to be covid tested.

Housing Details

  • Nanny will have a private room in the family's home as well as a private bathroom.

  • Work related vehicle will be provided for candidate.

Traveling Details

  • This position requires little travel due to covid, however, family travels a few times a year.

Compensation & Benefits

  • All positions are paid gross with overtime. This position is $25-$30 hour, in addition to relocation assistance, a healthcare stipend, and PTO and Paid federal holidays. There is 2 weeks of vacation and a discretionary performance bonus.

Start Date: The position will begin as soon as the family finds the right fit for their parenting team. This is a long-term role and the position starts as soon as the family can find the right candidate.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Toddler Responsibilities:

  • Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of toddler

  • Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style

  • Cook and prepare healthy meals and snacks for toddler

  • Active engagement and research with work-at-home parents

  • Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates

  • Facilitate intellectual development (e.g. words, numbers, enrichment, etc)

  • Facilitate physical development (e.g. running, stacking, using utensils, etc) in a high-energy, creative and playful way

  • Organize calendar arranging outings, etc Implement regularly and independently children’s educational and developmental activities

  • Adhere to child’s schedule, including naps/sleep and activities

  • Manage all aspects of children’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization – including, meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books, diaper bag, etc.

Infant Responsibilities

  • Manage daily care and supervision of infant

  • Feed, bathe, change, and dress infant, diaper changes, baby laundry, nap routine, keeping track of baby items to ensure they stay stocked, planning engaging and age-appropriate activities, and eventually potty training!

  • Adhere to infant’s schedule, including naps/sleep and activities

  • our typical nanny duties will involve everything pertaining to the baby; feedings,

Qualifications

· US, Work Authorization

· Must drive with a valid and clean license

· At least 4 years of professional full-time or part-time childcare experience

· Comfortable cooking for children

· CPR and First-Aid certifications

· Cat friendly

· Must swim

· Comfortable getting Covid-19 test
