Lovely, private family seeks a nanny for their 2.5-year-old son. The little guy is incredibly active and full of energy, loves to play with trucks, play the piano, dance, run, read books, and swim. He is very strong-willed and loving. He has a speech delay and is in constant speech therapy to work on communicating and using language. So, the ideal candidate would be patient, fun, loving, and passionate about childcare and child development. Huge plus if you have a background or experience with speech delays. 


This position is a full-time, live-out position:

  • The schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours/week. Family can guarantee 40 hours pay. Even if they don’t use 40 hours.

Ideal Schedule

  • Monday: 12:00pm – 6:00pm

  • Tuesday: 8:00am – 6:00pm

  • Wednesday: 12:00pm – 6:00pm

  • Thursday: 8:00am – 6:00pm

  • Friday: 12:00pm – 6:00pm

Compensation & Benefits

  • All positions are paid gross with overtime. This position is $30 - [$35 max, but for a truly exceptional candidate] a healthcare stipend, and PTO and Paid federal holidays and 2 weeks paid vacation.

Start Date: The position will begin as soon as the family finds the right fit for their parenting team.

Job Overview for Nanny

Responsibilities

  • Create a happy, nurturing, and stimulating environment for their son

  • Pick up child from school, on time, three days a week

  • Drive child to speech therapy or other activities as needed

  • Oversee son’s daily activities, including nap time, meal walks, park playdates, trips to the zoo, museum visits, etc.

  • Work together with parents to ensure cohesive support of child’s social, emotional, and speech development

  • Communicate in a confident, clear, direct manner with non-verbal 2.5-year-old

  • Model emotional regulation, problem-solving, frustration tolerance

  • Perform light household chores such as sweeping, cleaning dishes, doing child's laundry, and general tidying up

Qualifications

  • Background in early childhood education/development required

  • Experience with children with speech delay or other developmental delays a plus

  • Career nanny (professional, no babysitters)

  • A kind and patient personality

  • First Aid and CPR certifications required

  • Must have a clean driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Great organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and overnights

  • Willing to be flexible with fluid schedule and varied hours

  • Proof of vaccination required
