Caring Nanny Needed for Newborn in Massapequa Park

A lovely, professional family residing in Massapequa Park, New York, is looking for an experienced, reliable, and developmentally focused nanny for their 4-month-old daughter. Their daughter is a happy, healthy baby that is very curious about the world around her.


The ideal candidate for this position is a nanny who is very passionate about childcare and child development.  Someone engaging, loving, and caring who would read and talk to their daughter and introduce her to shapes, colors, and more. Their nanny should also be punctual, patient, and a self-starter and knows how to troubleshoot issues on their own.

Lastly, candidates must be pet friendly. The family has a Lab/Pit mix. The dog may need to be walked 1 to 2 times a day.


Job Detail (Position detail can change as the family works out their needs)


This position is a live-out position:

  • The schedule is Monday-Friday, 30-40 hours. (The family can guarantee 40 hours a week, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm..)

  • Must be covid vaccinated and already boosted or with plans to be boosted.

Compensation & Benefits

  • All positions are paid gross with overtime. This position is $25-$30 an hour, and PTO [7 Paid federal holidays, 2 weeks of vacation one week overlapping with family, and 3 sick days] and a discretionary performance bonus.

Start Date: This is a long-term role, and the position starts as soon as the family can find the right candidate.


Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • All childcare-related duties

  • Cook and prepare healthy meals and snacks for their daughter

  • Adhere to their daughter’s schedule, including naps/sleep and activities

  • Manage all aspects of their daughter’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization – including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books, etc.

  • Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., reading, spelling, numbers, arts and crafts, enrichment, etc.)

  • Facilitate physical development (e.g., running, climbing, stacking, using utensils, etc) in a high-energy, creative, and playful way.

  • Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates

  • Organize calendar, arrange outings, etc.

  • Active engagement and clear communication with work-at-home parents

  • Embraces family parenting style

  • Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their daughter

Qualifications

  • US Work Authorization

  • Driver’s license

  • At least 3 years of professional full-time or part-time childcare experience

  • Comfortable cooking for their daughter

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Comfortable getting Covid-19 tested, vaccinated, and willing to get the booster.
