Midtown East, New York, first-time parents seek a full-time, career-live-out nanny for their baby, who will be 6-months when the position starts. The ideal candidate is energetic, joyful, proactive, flexible, respectful, and professional.  Their candidate has lots of experience working with infants, exhibits calm under pressure, and can bring their knowledge of early developmental milestones/transitions to the table. The ability to create an engaging, happy, and calm atmosphere will help excel in this role. Family has a 13-year-old dog. Ideal candidates must be comfortable around dogs.



Job Detail

This position is a live-out position:

  • This is a full-time, live-out position.

  • Both parents will be working from home. You must be able to work independently.

  • The schedule is Monday through Friday.

  • 8:30am-5:30pm

Travel

Family will be going away for 3 weeks in August 2021 and would like the nanny to come along. Compensation details will be discussed ahead of time.

Compensation & Benefits

  • All positions are paid gross with overtime. This position is $25-$30+ an hour. In addition, there is PTO and Paid federal holidays. Monthly Metrocard.

Start Date: The position will begin July 2nd.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Safety first—always

  • Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of infant

  • Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style while offering advice for first time parents

  • Bottle feedings, diaper changes, baby’s laundry, keeping track of baby items to ensure they stay stocked, planning engaging and age-appropriate activities, and eventually potty training!

  • Help with meal preparation

  • Manage daily care and supervision of infant

  • Adhere to the infant’s schedule, including naps/sleep and activities

  • Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, enrichment, etc.)

  • Facilitate physical development (e.g. running, stacking, using utensils, etc.) in a high-energy, creative, and playful way

  • Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates

  • Monitor the development of fine motor and sensory skills

  • Help with speech and language development

  • Manage all aspects of children’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization – including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books, diaper bag, etc.

Qualifications:

US, Work Authorization

A valid and clean drivers license

Minimum of 4-years of professional full-time or part-time childcare experience

Infant experience

CPR and First-Aid certifications

Must take Covid very seriously

Comfortable getting Covid-19 tests and vaccinations

Flu and T-Dap Vaccination
