Active, professional family with 3.5 months old seeks an experienced full-time, live-out
nanny with proven track-record. Family is currently located in TriBeCa NYC but will be moving to Port Washington on Long Island over the summer.
Ideal candidate is professional, energetic, respectful, takes initiative, has a positive can-do attitude, and is
an open communicator. Must be comfortable working for a work at home mom (WAHM). Must have an interest in child development and passionate about being around infants. Nanny will be guaranteed 40/hrs. a week. Ideal candidate must be flexible as weekly schedule may change occasionally.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Manage daily care and supervision of infant
a. Feed, bathe, change, and dress infant
b. Adhere to infant’s schedule, including naps/sleep and activities
2. Implement regularly and independently infant’s educational and developmental
activities
a. Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, enrichment, etc.)
b. Facilitate physical development (e.g., tummy time, learning to grasp, crawling
and walking, etc. as gets older) in a high-energy, playful way
c. Facilitate social development
3. Manage all aspects of infant’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization –
including, meals/snacks and clean-up, laundry, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books,
diaper bag, etc.
Position and schedule:
The proposed regular weekly work schedule is:
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
This position is live out and full-time 40 hours.
The successful candidate would be flexible to work additional evening hours on
weekdays or weekends from time to time upon prior discussion.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate net $20-$30 an hr. based on level of experience, paid holidays, 5 sick days, and metrocard
Job requirements:
Excellent references required from current and previous employers
Minimum 5 years childcare related work experience with infants
Must love pets and be comfortable working in an environment with both a dog
and cat
Having experience with multiple children is a plus, but not required
Must be up-to-date on all vaccinations
Have command of English
Certification in CPR and First Aid
