A professional, loving family in Stamford, Connecticut, is looking for an experienced, nurturing nanny for their 2.5-year-old son. Their toddler is curious and highly verbal, and enjoys outdoor activities. The family is looking for a candidate who is engaging and energetic. Someone dedicated to their role and puts the sole focus on their child and his development. The ideal candidate for this position is proactive, honest, and caring. They should be punctual, consistent, and great with children. Someone who is organized, patient, and a self-starter and knows how to troubleshoot issues on their own. The candidate should have a clean driving record, and a family car would be provided if needed.
Job Detail (Position detail can change as the family works out their needs)
This position is a live-out position:
Monday - Friday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, 40-50/hours. (Because their schedule may change week to week, someone flexible would be ideal.)
Must be covid vaccinated and already boosted or with plans to be boosted.
Traveling Details
Traveling with the family is a huge plus but is not required.
Compensation & Benefits
All positions are paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$35 an hour, and PTO [7 Paid federal holidays, 2 weeks of vacation one week overlapping with family, and 5 sick days] and a discretionary performance bonus.
Start Date: This is a long-term role, and the position starts as soon as the family can find the right candidate.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities:
Embraces family parenting style
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their son
Cook and prepare healthy meals and snacks for their son
Adhere to their son’s schedule, including naps/sleep and activities
Manage all aspects of the child’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization – including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books, etc.
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., reading, spelling, numbers, arts and crafts, enrichment, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates
Research age-appropriate activities, organize calendars, arrange outings, etc.
Qualifications
US Work Authorization
Driver’s license
At least 3 years of professional full-time or part-time childcare experience
Comfortable cooking for their son
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable getting Covid-19 tested, vaccinated, and willing to get the booster
Passionate about childcare
