
Filled-Adventurous Nanny/Personal Assistant
Upper East Side Manhattan Nanny
Amazing & busy Family with two children, 5 & 2 years old, in NYC, seeks a Nanny/family assistant to join their team. This role will be 80% childcare and 20% Family Assistant. This position is ideal for a naturally organized candidate—a planner, adventurous, outdoorsy, active, and genuine love of working with children.

Live-out
This is a full-time, live-out position
Monday-Thursday; 7 am-7 pm. 48 hours a week.
Additional hours may be required with advance notice. An ideal candidate is someone with some flexibility.
Traveling Details
Ideal nanny would be interested in and willing to spend time with the Family at their 2nd home in Pennsylvania. The home has lots of opportunities to plan fun outdoor adventures in all seasons with the kids; in addition, they would like the nanny to be interested in and willing to travel domestically and internationally with the Family (after covid is in better control and the kids are vaccinated)
Nanny will have a private room/bathroom in the second home.
Compensation & Benefits
$28+/hr plus overtime after 40 hours. $75,000+ Annual Salary. Paid Travel with Family, Health Insurance Contribution, Major Holidays Off; Paid sick/vacation time; Annual bonus
Start Date: The position will begin as soon as the Family finds the right fit for their parenting team. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first—always.
Manage daily care and supervision of children in an engaging and fun way
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the home
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Potty training; planning engaging and age-appropriate activities; preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children; children’s baths and grooming; children’s laundry; helping to care for children if they are ill
Adhere to the children’s schedule, including school/naps/sleep and activities
Facilitate intellectual development (eg. age-appropriate literacy, math, science enrichment activities)
Facilitate physical development (eg. running, stacking, using utensils, etc) in a high-energy, creative, and playful way
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates
Manage all aspects of children’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization – including, meals/snacks and clean-up, cleaning toys/books, maintaining organization and tidiness of childrens’ rooms/common areas, maintaining organization of daily bags (diaper bag and school backpack), etc. Engaging children to help with the clean-up process.
Family Assistant/House Manager role: Top priority is caring for the children, but when both kids are at school or when children are napping, the family would like the nanny to have a family assistant role. Example responsibilities include keeping homes organized; errands; tracking inventory of household supplies and creating shopping lists; travel planning (e.g. researching hotels/restaurants/activities); event planning (e.g. helping to plan kids' birthday parties or a family dinner party); online research (e.g. best options for child or household supplies, age-appropriate/covid safe classes, birthday gifts); Administrative responsibilities include family calendar management (booking appointments, children’s activity sign-ups), organizing/arranging travel.
Qualifications
US Work Authorization
Outstanding written & oral communication skills and very responsive
Attention to detail, organized, professional, proactive
Ability to wear multiple hats and provide an all-hands-on-deck spirit
Able to swim
A desire for longevity is strongly preferred
Willingness to mirror the Family’s COVID-19 safety protocols
Up to date on vaccinations, including fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before start date in accordance with applicable laws
