Compassionate Nanny Needed for Toddler and School-Age Oakland, CA

A private family in Oakland, CA family, seeks a compassionate and experienced nanny to care for their 1-year-old and 4-year-old school-age children. The ideal candidate should be adept at managing the needs of multiple age groups, engaging in age-appropriate activities, assisting with homework, and fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for both children. The 4-year-old is in school during the day, so the focus will be on the 1-year-old. The nanny must be trustworthy, initiative, and able to resolve challenges independently. While performing basic household tasks and running errands is required, these responsibilities should not detract from childcare duties.
This position is a flexible, Full-time, Live-out:
• The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am – 6:30 pm
• Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
Compensation & Benefits:
• This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$40 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
• A discretionary performance bonus.
Start Date: Begins on 03/15/2024 or sooner for the right candidate. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Prioritize safety as the foremost concern for children’s well-being.
• Contribute to maintaining cleanliness and organization within the children's areas
• Align with parents' childcare approach and embrace their parenting style
• Manage daily care and supervision of both children, playdates, and after-school activities
• Foster intellectual development through activities involving language, numbers, stories, puzzles, and assisting with schoolwork
• Facilitate social development by helping the children build connections, organizing playdates, and attending classes
• Plan and execute engaging activities to keep the children active and involved
• Prepare simple meals for the children
• Handle children's laundry and maintain their belongings with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks, clothes, toys, books, diaper bags, etc.
Qualifications:
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Have 4+ years of experience.
• Specializing in children aged 0-5+.
• A minimum of three wonderful references
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Fully vaccinated. (COVID & Booster)
• Loving disposition.
