A loving family seeking a delightful, patient and reliable nanny to care for our spirited 2.5-year-old in Greenwich, CT. If you have experience in providing care to toddlers, especially a child who exhibits unique behavioral traits and needs a warm personality to support him.
The nanny must be fun, warm, reliable, punctual, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Being able to connect to their child is important. The candidate must be flexible to work early morning. Must be able/willing to make both breakfast and lunch for their child. The child attends preschool. You will be attending school with the child to stop and correct any action or behaviors caused by the child that can hurt other children. Lastly, one of the parents is a stay-at-home-parent. The nanny must be comfortable working in close partnership with the parent.
Huge plus if you have a background in child psychology, OT or PT.
This position is a flexible, part-time, live-out:
The schedule is Sunday through Thursday from 7:30 am - 12:30 pm (25 hours a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice. An ideal candidate is flexible.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$35 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.
Covid Risk Tolerance:
The ideal candidate would be vaccinated, and would take reasonable steps to help prevent spreading germs (wear a mask if she has the sniffles/cough).
Start Date: Begins asap. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their child
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their child
Accompany toddler to school to support behavioral modification
Adhere to their child’s schedule (e.g., school drop-off and pick-ups, and any planned playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their child active and engaged
Ability to make very simple meals for their child.
Manage all aspects of their child’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, etc.
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience
Huge plus if you have a background working with neurodivergent children
Toddler experience
Driver’s License
CPR and First-Aid certifications
