A loving family on the UES, Manhattan, NY, is seeking a wonderful, native Spanish-speaking mother's helper for their 3.5-year-old daughter. The ideal candidate has experience with Pre-K and school-age children, and is capable of creating a fun and nurturing environment. They should be punctual, organized, engaging, communicative, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks independently. Must communicate in Spanish with the child at all times. Responsibilities include light housekeeping, making the bed in the morning, dishwashing, cooking for the child and parents, leaving the kitchen/dining area clean. For clarity, cooking for parents means simple foods such as baking a salmon or grilling a frozen burger. We will coordinate a schedule such that across the week she can do laundry, prepare certain of the child's food in advance, as well clean the child's toys, crib, closet, changing area). No phone and screen usage for the daughter is allowed.

This position is a flexible, part-time live-out:
The schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 11:00 am – 6:30pm. Friday from 11:00 am - 6:00pm (37 hours a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate is one who is flexible.
There will be days that the parents would need the nanny to start early, beginning either at 8:30 am or 9:00 am.
There will also be weekdays that the parents would need the nanny to work late, until 8:00 pm, or friday until 9:00 pm.
In addition, working approximately 20 Saturdays a year would be preferred, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, four weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.

Covid and Flu Risk Tolerance:
The candidate needs to be vaccinated and would take reasonable steps to help prevent spreading germs (wear a mask if she has the sniffles/cough).

Start Date: Begins ASAP. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their daughter (bathing her, washing hands and teeth)
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Ensure the safety and well-being of their daughter at all times.
Cooking for the family
Manage daily care and supervision of their daughter
Adhere to their daughter’s schedule (e.g., any plan playdates, doctor’s appointments, school pick up and drop offs and activities.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their daughter active and engaged
Laundry for the family.


Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
A minimum of 2 years of experience
Being fluent in Spanish is mandatory. Okay if limited or no English language skills.
Knowledge of Pre-K development and childcare best practices.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Clear communication, comfort communicating honestly in difficult situations.
Must be able to cook and enjoy cooking
