A Manhattan, NY-based private family is in search of a nurturing and engaging caregiver for their three-month-old infant. The ideal candidate should possess the expertise and skills necessary to guide the newborn through crucial developmental stages. Creating a warm, imaginative, and secure environment is essential, involving activities such as fostering connections, planning safe and enjoyable experiences, organizing family schedules, and more.

The desired nanny should exhibit qualities such as love, punctuality, organization, experience, trustworthiness, attentiveness, proactivity, self-initiation, and the ability to independently address challenges. Adherence to parental advice and instructions is crucial, and a Bachelor's degree is a plus. Basic tech proficiency, possession of a passport, and the ability to swim are preferred attributes. Notably, one of the parents works from home, necessitating the nanny's comfort in collaborating closely with them when they are present.

This position is flexible, full-time, live-out only:
The schedule is Monday through Thursdays from 8:30 am – 6:30 pm, and Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm (47.5 hrs. a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice, staying late once a week with the possibility to stay overnight. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.

Pet Care:
The family has a Shiba Inu that’s about 20 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$40 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is open about Covid. However, this will change if there are any major outbreaks or is immunocompromised.

Start Date: Begins on 03/15/2024. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their newborn
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their newborn
Adhere to their newborn’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their newborn active and engage
Ability to make very simple meals for their newborn.
Laundry for their newborn.
Manage all aspects of their newborn’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.

Can swim
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
