Experience Nanny Needed for Newborn on the UWS

Upper West Side, New York, NY

A busy, but loving family, on the Upper West Side, NY, NY, is looking for an experienced, trustworthy, nanny for their newborn. Parents are both busy professionals and will need to return to work, so the nanny will start when the newborn is 6 weeks old. So, newborn experience is required. The ideal nanny must be warm, patient, reliable, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. A foreign language is a plus.

This position is a flexible full-time live-in (live-in can be 5 or 7 days)

The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting either from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm or 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (50 hours a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice. There may be some weekend work needed. So, an ideal candidate is someone who is flexible.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross plus overtime. This position is $30-$40 per hour
PTO (e.g., paid federal holidays, 2 weeks of vacation, and sick days).
A discretionary performance bonus.

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is open about Covid. The parents will follow CDC guidelines when needed.

Start Date: It begins when the family finds the right fit.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their newborn
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their newborn
Adhere to their newborn’s schedule (e.g., music, swimming, gymnastics drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and age appropriate activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their newborn active and engaged
Ability to make very meals for their child when they hit the development stage to introduce solids.
Laundry for their newborn.
Manage all aspects of their newborn’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and snacks, clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.

Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Newborn experience
Foreign Language
Up to date on all vaccinations, including annual flu shot
COVID vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
