1.How much do I get paid as a TTNA Sitter ?

Sitters earn: $30/hr for 1 child, $35/hr for 2 children, and $40/hr for 3-4 children. We recommend that families that have 5 or more children book a second sitter so you can focus on engaging the little ones in your care. Families pay you directly at the end of each shift, so you keep 100% of your pay. This is significantly higher than most NYC childcare platforms.

2. What happens if a family cancels on me?

If a family cancels within 24 hours, their card on file is automatically charged, and you receive 50% of your booked pay processed via Stripe. This is why we recommend setting up a stripe account so that we can pay you. This may take 3-5 business days. This policy protects your time and ensures fair compensation for your availability. Please note, you will receive a 1099 from TTNA if your payment over the year from us surpasses the Tax threshold.

3. Do I need certifications to join?

All sitters must be CPR/First Aid certified or willing to complete certification before their first sit. We also require two professional references, a clean background check, and at least 2 years of demonstrable childcare experience.

4. How does scheduling work?

You maintain complete control over your availability through our platform. When a sit request matches your schedule, you'll receive a notification and can accept or decline within 24 hours. No pressure, just professional opportunities. Please keep you availablity up to date monthly.

5. Do you screen the families too?

Absolutely! Every family completes a comprehensive intake process, and we personally review their details before they can book any sitter. We make sure it is important that the families understand our policies so that all parties feel comfortable. This ensures safe, professional matches and maintains our high community standards.

6. What about emergency cancellations?

While cancellations should be rare, emergencies happen. You must notify the TTNA office directly by phone or email 3 not just the family. We'll handle rebooking and ensure minimal impact on the family while protecting your professional standing.
