A caring family, relocating from Boston to NYC, seeks a capable, hands-on nanny for their newborn due in early April. The ideal candidate should possess experience caring for newborns and a deep understanding of child development. They should be adept at creating a secure, nurturing environment for the baby, fostering engaging and safe activities, managing family schedules, maintaining organization, and more.

The nanny must exhibit curiosity, trustworthiness, initiative, and the ability to independently resolve challenges. While performing basic household tasks and running errands is required, these responsibilities should not detract from childcare duties. Additionally, both parents maintain flexible work-from-home schedules, requiring the nanny to collaborate closely with them when they are present.

This position is flexible, full-time, live-out only:
The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 pm – 6:00 pm (50 hrs. a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.

Pet Care:
The family has a Ragdoll cat. It’s very friendly.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $27-$35 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is open about Covid.

Start Date: Begins on 05/20/2024. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their newborn
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their newborn
Adhere to their newborn’s schedule (e.g., Naps, feeding, classes, and doctor’ appointments, etc.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their newborn active and engage
Ability to make very simple meals for their newborn.
Laundry for their newborn.
Manage all aspects of their newborn’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.

Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Newborn experience
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
Comfortable around cats
