A loving family in Little Falls, NJ, is looking for a nurturing, full-time nanny for their 2-year-old daughter. Their daughter is a happy, outgoing child who loves singing, reading, exploring the world around her, and learning lots of new things. The ideal candidate for this role is someone fun, engaging, and developmentally-focused. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to create a stimulating atmosphere for their daughter, with a focus on Montessori method.
The nanny must be loving, flexible, punctual, communicative, organized, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Driving is only needed to get to the residence; the nanny is not currently expected to transport their daughter anywhere. Lastly, one of the parents has a flexible schedule to work from home. The nanny must be comfortable working in close partnership with both parents when they are at home.
This position is full-time, live-out with varying scheduling:
The basic schedule is from Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hrs. a week).
For 18 weeks annually, the schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (50 hrs. a week), with the schedule of these weeks provided in advance (on a monthly basis).
On certain Tuesdays, the schedule is from 7:45 am – 6:00 pm.
Additional hours may be required, and will be provided in advance, so the ideal candidate must be flexible.
Note: this household is a tree nut-free home.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $27-$30 per hour, PTO (e.g, 7 paid federal holidays (if they fall on a typical workday – i.e., New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas), two weeks of vacation [one week to coincide with family vacation], and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.
Additional weekday hours passing the 40 hours/week mark will be paid in cash.
Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is moderate about COVID-19. They avoid unnecessary exposure, but have recently started going maskless indoors.
Start Date: Begins as soon as the family finds the right fit. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first;
Pitch-in attitude regarding all childcare-related responsibilities;
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style;
Manage daily care and supervision of their child;
Adhere to their child’s schedule (e.g., meal time and nap time);
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, arts and crafts, etc.);
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates with neighborhood children;
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their child active and engaged, including listening to all types of music and singing songs;
Ability to make very simple meals for their child, including basic meal prep;
Laundry for their child.;
Manage all aspects of their child’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and kitchen/booster seat clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, replenishing diaper bags and supplies (supplies provided), emptying diaper pails, etc.
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience (full time, at least 40 hours/week)
Toddler experience
Foreign Language a plus
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Driver’s License and own vehicle
Up to date on all vaccinations, including flu
COVID-19 vaccination and boosters
CPR and First-Aid certifications
