Nanny Needed for Family in Soho
Soho, Manhattan, NY
A loving busy Soho family is looking for a proactive and developmentally focused nanny for their family. The family is eager to find a take-charge nanny with whom they can partner and collaborate in creating and sustaining an enriched environment for their newborn. The ideal candidate for this position will be highly organized, proactive, warm, calm, outgoing and enjoy working with children. The candidate should be someone with a great fun-loving spirit who enjoys planning activities for the child and actively engaging with them in play.
The nanny must be patient, warm, reliable, safety-oriented, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Paying strong attention to detail is important. The family tends to travel, so being passport ready is ideal. Also, having a foreign language is a plus. A candidate that can perform basic tasks around the residence which includes light housekeeping, and grocery shopping is a plus. Lastly, both parents have flexible schedules to work from home. The nanny must be comfortable working in close partnership with both parents when they are at home.
This position is full-time, live-out:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am – 6:30 pm (52.5 hrs. a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice, usually for one night weekly. So, an ideal candidate is one who is flexible.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$35 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is balanced about Covid. Due to the age of the child, the family would prefer a candidate that is comfortable wearing mask on public transportation
Start Date: Begins asap. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their child
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their child
Adhere to their child’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their child active and engage
Ability to make simple meals for their child.
Laundry for their child.
Manage all aspects of their child’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Newborn experience
Foreign Language plus
Associate’s Degree or higher a plus
Basic Tech Savvy
Passport
Traveling experience
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
