Family Overview:
A warm and loving family of five, based in Brooklyn Heights, is seeking an exceptional nanny to care for their newborn. The family already has dedicated support for their two older children, so the primary focus of this role is providing attentive, nurturing, and developmentally mindful care for their infant.

The ideal candidate is experienced with newborns and has a strong understanding of infant and toddler development and milestones. They will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment, reading, talking, singing, and introducing age-appropriate activities that encourage growth and curiosity. Additional responsibilities include keeping the baby’s belongings organized, helping to coordinate the family calendar, and ensuring smooth day-to-day routines.

The family is looking for someone truly special: kind, trustworthy, proactive, and a natural self-starter who can anticipate needs, adapt with ease, and problem-solve independently. Most importantly, they want a nanny who approaches their role with warmth, patience, and a genuine love of children.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the newborn while following the family’s parenting style and childcare philosophy.
Managing the newborn’s daily care and supervision, including feeding, changing, and supporting healthy routines.
Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the newborn when appropriate.
Engaging the newborn in activities that encourage development, such as reading, music, art, tummy time, and other age-appropriate play.
Following the child’s schedule as it evolves, including school drop-offs and pick-ups for siblings, playdates, and other planned activities.
Occasionally assisting with bath time and changing clothes.
Maintaining a tidy and organized environment, including light housekeeping related to the newborn.
Cleaning and sterilizing bottles, breast pumps, and pacifiers as needed.
Doing the baby’s laundry, organizing toys and books, and keeping the diaper bag stocked and ready.
