Nurturing Nanny Needed for Newborn in West Hollywood, CA

A loving family in West Hollywood, CA, seeks a nurturing and experienced nanny to care for their newborn starting April 1st. The ideal nanny for this position is someone who has extensive experience with infants. Someone passionate about nurturing the growth and development of the infants and the children in their care. (E.g. reading to the newborns, playing with them, planning activities, coordinating the family calendar, keeping the newborn active, keeping their things organized, sanitized, and more). The nanny must be communicative, creative, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently.
This position is a live-out position:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM. (50hrs. a week.) Additional hours and working during the weekends may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
Pet friendly: The family has two very friendly dogs. The nanny is not responsible for pet care.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$40 gross per hour, PTO (e.g., paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
Healthcare stipend and a discretionary performance bonus.
Start Date: Mid-April.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide full-time care for our newborn, including feeding, changing diapers, and soothing.
Ability to handle breast milk or formula and eventually transition infants to solid food.
Establish a consistent schedule for feeding and napping.
Ensure the baby's safety at all times.
Engage in age-appropriate developmental activities with the baby
Maintain a clean and organized environment for the baby, including laundry, meals/snacks and clean-up, cleaning toys/books, and diaper bags related to the baby.
Communicate effectively with parents about the baby's daily routines and needs.
Occasionally assist with light household duties, as needed.
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping the babies active and engage
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience caring for newborns.
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
CPR and First Aid certification
Excellent references from previous families
Trustline Certified
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with parents.
Knowledge of age-appropriate developmental milestones and activities
Availability to work full-time on weekdays, with occasional flexibility on evenings and weekends.
Comfortable getting Covid-19 tested, vaccinated, and willing to get the booster
Knowledge of baby-led-weaning
Comfortable around dogs.
