Families Location: Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, NY
Number of children and Age: 2 kids, 7-year-old twin sons.
Type of Position: Part-time, Live out.
Schedule: Mondays 12:30 pm - 7:00 pm; Tuesdays 7am - 11am; Wednesdays 12pm-5pm; Thursdays 12pm-5:30pm; Fridays, 2pm-6pm (25 hrs).
Compensation & benefits: $35-$40/hr. DOE. PTO (2-weeks paid vacation, 6 federal holidays and 5 sick days.).
Start Date: ASAP
Travel Required: No.

A warm and loving family in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, NY, is seeking an energetic and dependable nanny and household manager with experience caring for school-aged children. The duties include doing child related duties, family laundry, household organization, grocery shopping, and cooking for the family. The role also involves caring for and engaging with the family’s twin sons, offering guidance, encouragement, and positive role modeling.

The family values someone who is trustworthy, organized, and thoughtful, and who can support their parenting style while fostering a nurturing and structured environment for the boys. Responsibilities also include transporting the children from school to after-school activities and providing homework support. The ideal candidate will bring warmth, consistency, and the ability to set clear and caring boundaries with the twins.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Prioritize safety while adhering to the families' parenting styles and childcare philosophies.
Maintain a clean environment for their household
Perform household chores such as light housekeeping, clean dishes, organizing the twin’s bedroom.
Running errands for the household (e.g., shopping, dry cleaning)
Handle the household inventory, supplies, and stocking essentials prior to children's scheduled pick-up.
The ability to prepare simple meals for the kids
Transport the twins from school to afterschool activities.
Engage the twin in activities that help build a strong lasting relationship, through music, art, storytelling, and crafts, and encourage social interaction through playdates and group activities.

Qualifications:
Authorized to work in the United States.
Minimum of 3 years of professional childcare experience, ideally with school-age children
Previous experience as a nanny, family assistant, or household manager
Experience in caring for school-age children
Up-to-date vaccinations ( Flu, COVID-19, and Booster).
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to manage household routines independently and proactively
Warm, patient, and engaging personality with a genuine love for children
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with parents, Basic Tech Savvy
