A loving family in San Gabriel, CA seeks a temp part-time nanny for their 5-year-old daughter, and their newborn on the way. The ideal candidate should have the expertise in providing care for children in this age range. The nanny must be able to create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for their son’s well-being and development. You will be tag teaming with the mom.

The nanny should be proactive, kind, knowledgeable, and capable of handling tasks independently. The candidate must also perform light housekeeping pertaining to the children, laundry for children, and other household errands. The family would prefer someone that enjoys cooking and will assist with meal preparation for the household.

This position is a temporary, part-time live-out:
The schedule M-F 2:30-7:30pm (25 hours a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice. So, the ideal candidate who is flexible.
Family has a kitty

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid a take home of $35 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays)

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The ideal candidate would be vaccinated and would take reasonable steps to help prevent spreading germs (wear a mask if she has the sniffles/cough).

Start Date: Asap. This is a temp role till August 2024.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Ensure the safety and well-being of their children at all times.
Provide attentive and specialized care for their children, considering the newborn’s unique needs and development stages.
Assist with feeding, diapering, and maintaining their children's sleep schedule.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their children
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their children
Engage in age-appropriate activities to encourage the newborn's cognitive and motor skill development. (e.g., picking things up, learning to use utensils, words, numbers, stories, puzzles, etc.)
Adhere to their children’s schedule (e.g., any plan playdates and activities.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their children active and engage
Laundry and cooking for their children.
Manage all aspects of their children’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.

Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Experience with multiple children.
Knowledge of newborn development
CPR and First Aid certification.
Valid driver’s license is a plus.
Loving disposition.
Clear communication, comfort communicating honestly in difficult situations.
