A loving family in Upper East Side, New York, is looking for a kind, dedicated weekend nanny for their newborn. The nanny must be to create a captivating, fun, and stimulating atmosphere for their newborn. Such as reading, communicating, facilitating fun and creative activities, coordinating family calendar, keeping their things organized, and more. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience working with newborns, someone comfortable traveling with the family, or to the family’s weekend home in Connecticut.

The nanny must be nurturing, punctual, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Having a clean driving record is preferred. The nanny must be able to manage household tasks such as grocery shopping, organizing the child’s toys, cooking and laundry. Lastly, a background in early childhood education will always be accepted.

This position is part-time, live-out:
The schedule is Saturday to Sunday, from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (14 hours a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $28-$30 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is open about Covid.

Start Date: Begins in asap. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their child
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style.
Manage daily care and supervision of their child.
Adhere to their child’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes.
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their child active and engage.
Ability to make very simple meals for their child.
Laundry for their child.
Manage all aspects of their child’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.

Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 3 years of professional Nanny experience
Newborn to Infant experience
Light Housekeeping
Driver’s License
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted.
CPR and First-Aid certifications
