A private family in Tribeca, NY is looking for a loving, active, native Spanish speaking nanny for their two children ages 4-years-old and 11-months-old. The ideal candidate for this role is someone full of energy, who has experience providing care to multiple children of different ages. In addition, the nanny must be able to create an inspiring, warm, and safe environment for their children. This will require reading and talking to them (in Spanish/English). Creating a fun and safe environment for the kids. Keeping the kid’s property organized, and more are expected. Note, this is a Kosher household, having experience is a plus but not necessary.

The nanny must be organized, energetic, team-player, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Following and respecting the parent’s guidance is important. Having a clean driver’s record is a plus, but not required. Lastly, one of the parents have flexible schedules to work from home for two days a week. The nanny must be comfortable working in partnership with one of the parents when they are at home, though the parent will be in a separate office space, largely out of the way.

This position is a flexible, full-time live-out:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am – 6:30 pm (50 hrs. a week).
Additional hours may be required with notice. Staying overnight may happen on occasion, with advance notice, as will travel through the year. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
The family spends summers in Greenwich, CT, so the ideal candidate will either live in during the summer (with a private bedroom and bathroom) or commute to Greenwich (which is just 40 minutes outside NYC and accessible via train).

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $32-$36 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.

Start Date: Begins on 10/16/2023. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their children
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their children
Adhere to their children’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their children active and engaged
Ability to make very simple meals for their children.
Laundry for their children.
Manage all aspects of their children’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.
