A private family in Brooklyn, NY, is looking for a fantastic, college-educated nanny for their toddler. Both parents have high-performing, intense careers but work from home periodically and want to actively engage in the regular care of their son. So the nanny must be comfortable working in close partnership with work-from-home parents.
The ideal candidate is someone with lots of energy with the ability to create an engaging, happy, and stimulating atmosphere for their child. Lots of engagement with reading, flashcards, games and active play. The nanny must be proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Privacy is essential for this family, so nannies must understand not to share photos or personal information about their family.
This is a full-time, live-out position:
The schedule is Monday - Thursday, for 6:30 am - 5:30 pm. (44/hrs work weeks)
Flexible for later start Tuesday and Thursday 7:30 am - 6:30 pm
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $35 hour, PTO, including paid federal holidays. There are two weeks of vacation and a discretionary performance bonus.

Start Date: This is a long-term role. The position begins as soon as the family finds the right fit.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the toddler
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Ability to cook for their child. Comfortable preparing solids and bottle feedings.
Ability to change diapers and eventually potty train.
Must do child’s laundry.
Must keep track of child’s items (e.g., diapers, wipes, milk, etc., ) to ensure they stay stocked.
Planning engaging and age-appropriate activities.
Adhere to the toddler’s schedule, including naps/sleep, bath and activities
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, enrichment, reading, flashcards, games and active play etc.)
Facilitate physical development (e.g. running, stacking, using utensils, etc.) in a high-energy, creative, and playful way
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Manage all aspects of the toddler’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 4-years of professional full-time or part-time childcare experience
Bachelor’s Degree, or higher
Infant experience
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccinated and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
Non-smoker
