A loving family in Lower Manhattan is looking for a wonderful, college-educated nanny for their 2-year-old daughter and newborn, set to be born end of year. The ideal candidate for this position is a nanny who is very passionate about childcare and child development. Someone who has experience working with multiple children and infants is important. The family would like a caregiver who is curious about their child’s mind, learning and helping them meet developmental milestones. Their nanny should also be punctual, patient, have a positive pitch-in attitude, and be a self-starter who knows how to troubleshoot issues on their own.

This position is a live-out position:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, with occasional evenings. (50/hrs. work week) Additional hours may be required with notice. An ideal candidate would have flexibility.

Compensation & Benefits
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$40 hour, PTO, including paid federal holidays. There are two weeks of vacation and a discretionary performance bonus.

Start Date: Begins on 12/01/2022 with some flexibility. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Reliability. Proactive, open communication.
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of the daughter - and soon the newborn (from age 4mo onward - September 2023)
Support the childrens’ schedules (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, napping, highly regular meal schedule, etc.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, art, sports etc.)
Facilitate physical development (tummy time, sports for the toddler, etc) and social development (helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes).
Planning fun and engaging activities for children.
Provide (cook/prepare) healthy, age-appropriate meals for both children. For the toddler: bottle feeding and eventually transitioning into solids.
Manage all aspects of the children’s environment with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snack clean-up, children’s laundry, hanging clothes, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.
Changing diapers and eventually potty training. (The 2-year-old is already potty trained.)
Overall team attitude. Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the environment overall (e.g. emptying/filling dishwasher as needed.)
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of Professional Nanny Experience
Infant and Toddler experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher a plus
Driver’s License is a Plus
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
