A loving family in Williamsburg, BK, is looking for a nurturing and engaging nanny for their newborn son. The nanny should have experience working with infants and toddlers and be capable of guiding their son through his crucial developmental stages. The ideal should be warm and loving, punctual, organized, and trustworthy. Someone is proactive, a self-starter, and can independently address challenges. Additionally, the role involves travel to Florida and Connecticut and assisting with the family's sweet 2-year-old, 15 lbs Cavapoo.

This position is a Full-time, Live-out:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30
am – 6:00 pm (47.5 hours a week).
Overtime may be required, especially during travel or unforeseen circumstances.

Break down of travels (Nanny must be comfortable traveling with family)
Be available to accompany the family during ad hoc business travel. A minimum of 4 weeks' notice would be provided.
Travel for 4-6 weeks every February to Florida. A dedicated bedroom/living space would be provided, as well as a schedule for coverage hours.
Travel every 2-3 weeks to the family's home in Weston, CT, for coverage on Fridays and (more rarely) Mondays. The home is metro accessible. A dedicated bedroom/living space would be provided, as well as a schedule for coverage hours.
Given travel needs, this is unlikely to be a good fit for someone with requirements to be in the NYC area on a routine basis (e.g. family needs, schooling, etc.)



Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$35 per hour ($1500 - $1800 a week gross) PTO (e.g., paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)

General Responsibilities
Provide attentive and specialized care for the newborn, considering their unique needs and development stages.
Ensure the safety and well-being of the newborn at all times.
Create a nurturing and stimulating environment for the baby's growth and development.
Assist with feeding, diapering, and maintaining the newborn's sleep schedule.
Support the establishment of a daily routine for the newborn (transition from NCS/night nurse) Daily Activities
Engage in age-appropriate activities to encourage the newborn's cognitive and motor skill development.
Assist with baby-related housekeeping duties, such as washing bottles and organizing baby supplies.
Abide by no-screens rule.
Stay vigilant to ensure a safe environment for both the newborn and the dog.
Know emergency procedures and contact information, including medical professionals and veterinary services.
Complete and maintain training for basic emergency situations (e.g. CPR, choking)
Available to work when child is sick unable to go to school (exception for COVID)
Perform light housekeeping duties related to childcare and newborn care.
Ensure common areas and the baby's living spaces are kept tidy.
Safely transport the newborn to any appointments or activities as needed.
Assist with transportation for the dog, if required (e.g. day care).
Provide regular updates to parents on the newborn's activities, milestones, and any concerns.
Dog Care
Attend to the needs of the family dog, including feeding, walks, and general care.
Coordinate with the family regarding the dog's schedule and any specific care requirements.
Safety and Emergency Procedures


Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Specializing in children aged 0-5.
A minimum of three wonderful references
Open to multi-child, possible in the future.
Knowledge of infant development and childcare best practices. Montessori or similar is great
Available to travel per travel requirements above.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Fully vaccinated. (COVID & Booster, Tdap and yearly Flu shot)
Valid driver’s license is a plus
Loving disposition.
Clear communication, comfort communicating honestly in difficult situations.
Comfort and experience with dog care.
Speaks French or Spanish is a plus
