Family Overview
A loving family from the Upper East Side, Manhattan, NY, is seeking a loving, energetic nanny for their two children, a 2-year-old and a newborn, expected in December. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for both infants and toddlers at the same time and is familiar with their developmental milestones. The family’s parenting style is focused on supporting and teaching, not punishing or being overly restrictive. For example, they do not do time outs and never yell. The nanny should have a similar style.

The family schedule will change after a few months, so someone reliable would be ideal. From September to the end of October, the schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (40 hrs.).
From November on, the schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (40 hrs.). Both parents work. Mom works from home, so someone who has experience with that is ideal. Because both parents work and sometimes one parent travels, nanny should have some flexibility in case something unexpected happens.

The nanny should be warm, high energy, organized, a quick learner, self-motivated, and able to solve problems independently while also being open to feedback and having involvement from mom. Must be comfortable performing household tasks related to the children, such as light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, cleaning bottles, and making meals.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Prioritize safety and maintain a clean environment for their children, adhering to the families' parenting styles and childcare philosophies. Engage their children in activities that promote intellectual and social development, such as music, art, storytelling, and crafts, and encourage social interaction through playdates and group activities.
· Manage daily routines, including tracking feeding, nap, and play schedules for their children, and handling the newborn feedings and the introduction of solids. Perform related duties such as laundry, tidying baby's areas, organizing toys and books, and maintaining diaper bags.

Qualifications:
● A minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience.
● Experience in caring for newborns and Pre-K children at the same time
● Up-to-date vaccinations (Tdap, Flu, COVID-19, and Booster).
● CPR and First-Aid certifications
