Families Location: Roosevelt Island, Manhattan, NY
Number of children and Age: Two children. A newborn expected in the Fall & a toddler.
Type of Position: Full time, live out.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Compensation & benefits: $32-$40/hr. DOE. PTO (2-weeks paid vacation, federal holidays and 5 sick days.)
Start Date: 08/15/2025
Travel Required: No.
Additional info: The nanny’s primary responsibility will be caring for the family’s newborn. Their toddler is set to begin daycare in early fall, so care for the toddler will only be needed occasionally. Lastly, the family plans to move to the UES in the future.

A loving family on Roosevelt Island, NY, is seeking an experienced and organized nanny to care primarily for their newborn, with occasional care for their toddler. The toddler will begin daycare in early fall, so the nanny’s main focus will be on the newborn. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in newborn care and a solid understanding of developmental milestones.

The family is looking for someone responsible, caring, fun, and well-organized. The nanny should be respectful of and supportive toward the family’s parenting style and childcare preferences. Responsibilities include organizing and cleaning up after the children, as well as handling tasks such as laundry, bottle cleaning, and meal prep.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Prioritize safety while adhering to the families' parenting styles and childcare philosophies.
Prepare bottles, and support the introduction of solid foods as developmentally appropriate.
Ability to create healthy meals and snacks for the children.
Engage the baby in age-appropriate sensory and developmental activities—such as music, tummy time, storytelling, and early social interaction through playdates.
Assist with daily routines, including diaper changes, bath time, and dressing.
Helping with light housekeeping, clean dishes, organizing the children’s room and play area, diaper bag, bottle and pacifiers sterilizing/cleaning is needed.
Perform related duties such as laundry, tidying the children's areas, organizing toys, and books, and maintaining diaper bags.

Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
A minimum of 4 years of professional nanny experience.
Experience in caring for newborns & toddlers.
Is comfortable providing care to two children, when possible.
Must be up-to-date vaccinations (Tdap, Flu, COVID-19, and Booster).
CPR and First-Aid certifications
