Engaging, Enthusiastic Nanny Needed Toddler On UWS

A busy but laid-back family on the UWS is looking for a fun and engaging nanny for their 2-year-old son. Someone who has both toddler and newborn experience as they are looking forward to growing their family. The ideal candidate for this role is someone comfortable working with two children at a time. Someone who enjoys the outdoors just as much as their family. They are outdoorsy people. Their son loves strolls and trips to the park, picking up leaves and looking at cars. So, someone who can do these activities and more with him while fostering an engaging atmosphere for him to thrive. They would also like the candidate to be capable of managing child-related schedules, like doctor’s appointments and classes, helping with light housekeeping, preparing light meals for him, and having the flexibility to stay later if needed, pretty much someone who is an extension of their parenting team.

This position is a flexible, Full-time, Live-out:
• The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
• Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.

Compensation & Benefits:
• This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$35 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
• A discretionary performance bonus.

Start Date: Begins on 03/15/2024 or sooner for the right candidate. This is a long-term role.

• Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their son
• Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
• Manage daily care and supervision of their son
• Adhere to the child’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
• Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any school work, etc.)
• Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
• Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their son active and engage
• Ability to make very simple meals for their son.
• Laundry for their son.
• Manage all aspects of their son’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.

Qualifications:
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Have 4+ years of experience.
• Specializing in children aged 0-5+.
• A minimum of three wonderful references
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Fully vaccinated. (COVID & Booster)
• Loving disposition.
