Number of children and Age: Primary care will be focused on the 8 month old.
5 children in a blended family, the children are 8 months - 12yrs.
Type of Position: 36 hrs-40+ Full time hrs with 1-2 weekends a month in the Hamptons.
Schedule: Monday, Thursday, and Friday 7:30 am - 7:30 pm (24-36 hrs.). Weekend when on duty, similar hours.
Compensation & benefits: $40-$50/hr.
Start Date: ASAP
Travel Required: Between New York, NY, East Hampton, NY, & Amagansett, NY.
Additional info: It is required of the nanny to work in both Manhattan & East Hampton. Also, they have an older daughter, attending college, that visits the family during the summer (she has peanut allergies). In addition, the family has three dogs.

While the role will focus primarily on the youngest daughter, the ideal candidate should also be comfortable occasionally supporting the other children, ages 7 to 19, when needed, as this is a blended family.

The family is looking for a nanny with strong infant experience and a clear understanding of developmental milestones and age appropriate care. The right candidate will be able to create engaging, safe, and stimulating activities that support the child’s intellectual, emotional, and physical development.

The ideal nanny is caring, gentle, flexible, safety focused, and well organized. They should be respectful of the family’s parenting style and able to work collaboratively within the household. The family employs a housekeeper, but the nanny should be willing to assist with child related tasks and occasionally help support the smooth running of the home when needed. The nanny must also be comfortable traveling with the family.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide attentive, nurturing care for the youngest child, ensuring her safety, comfort, and well being throughout the day
Plan and lead age appropriate activities that support developmental milestones, including sensory play, reading, outdoor time, and creative activities
Maintain the child’s daily routine, including feeding, naps, playtime, and bedtime preparation when applicable
Support healthy development by encouraging language, motor, and social skills through engaging interaction and play
Prepare bottles, meals, and snacks for the children as appropriate
Keep the nursery, play areas, and children’s belongings tidy and well organized
Assist with child related household tasks such as children’s laundry, organizing toys, and maintaining supplies
Occasionally support the older children (ages 7–12) when needed, including supervising activities or helping with routines
Be mindful of the family’s peanut allergy protocols and ensure foods brought into the home or prepared for the children follow household safety guidelines
Communicate regularly with parents about the child’s progress, milestones, and daily updates
Accompany the family on travel and help maintain routines while away from home
Work collaboratively with parents and household staff to ensure a smooth and supportive home environment


Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
A minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience.
Experience in caring for infants.
Experience in caring for multiple children of different ages.
Bachelor's degree or higher.
Passport & Travel experience.
A drivers license with a clean driving record.
Must know how to swim.
Up-to-date vaccinations (Tdap, Flu, COVID-19, and Booster).
CPR and First-Aid certifications
