A private family in Secaucus, NJ, is looking for a warm, loving nanny for their 2 ½-year-old daughter. They hope to meet a nanny with lots of experience working with preschoolers and school-age children. Someone capable of creating a fun and positive environment for their daughter. Their daughter has allergies to both milk and eggs. Hence, someone with experience/knowledge working with children with allergies is essential.

The ideal candidate for this role is adaptable and calm. A self-starter, and knows how to troubleshoot issues independently while also being able to follow the parent’s advice and instructions. Lastly, the candidate should have a clean driving record and be comfortable working closely with both parents, who may work from home occasionally.

This position is full-time, live-out:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 11:30 am – 7:00 pm (37.5 hrs. a week but will do 40 for the right candidate).
Additional hours may be required with notice, including some weekends or date nights. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is strict about Covid.

Start Date: Begins on as soon as family finds the right fit. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their daughter
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their daughter
Adhere to their daughter’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., Reading, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their daughter active and engage
Ability to make very simple meals for their daughter (no milk and eggs).
Laundry for their daughter.
Manage all aspects of their daughter’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, etc.

Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 3 years of professional Nanny experience
Pre-K experience
Associate’s Degree or higher is a plus.
Driver’s license
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
