Engaging Nanny Needed for Toddler on the UWS, Manhattan, NY

Families Location: Upper West Side, Manhattan, NY
Number of children and Age: 1 child, 2-year-old daughter.
Type of Position: Full time, live out. The family would appreciate someone with flexibility to occasionally assist with additional hours as needed.
Schedule: Monday – Fridays, 8:30 am – 6:30 pm (50 hrs).
Compensation & benefits: $32-$35/hr. DOE. PTO (4-weeks paid vacation (two-weeks generally coincides with the last two weeks of the year as the family's choice), federal holidays and 5 sick days).
Start Date: 01/20/2026
Travel Required: Yes.

Family Overview:
A warm and welcoming family on the Upper West Side of Manhattan is seeking a caring, dependable nanny to help care for their 2-year-old daughter. The ideal candidate has experience with toddlers and an appreciation for early childhood development and milestones.

The nanny will be playful and engaging, enjoying age-appropriate activities that support the child’s curiosity, learning, and sense of security. The family hopes to find someone who is active, flexible, communicative, and well-organized, as well as respectful of their parenting style and childcare preferences.

This is a long-term position with the opportunity to gradually take on additional household or assistant-type responsibilities as the child’s school schedule expands in the future.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Prioritize safety while adhering to the families' parenting styles and childcare philosophies.
Transporting their daughter from her Two's Program and to and from other activities.
Ability to create healthy meals and snacks for their daughter.
Engage their daughter in activities that promote intellectual and social development, such as music, art, storytelling, and crafts, and encourage social interaction through playdates and group activities.
Assist with arranging playdates so that their daughter can have social interaction.
Assist with arranging and maintaining a schedule of activities (including booking online and via apps).
Assist with bath times and changing clothes.
Assist with light housekeeping pertaining to the child's space, load/unload dishwasher.
Perform related duties such as laundry, tidying their daughter's areas, organizing toys and books, and maintaining diaper bags.

Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
A minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience.
Experience in caring for toddlers and Pre-K children.
Must be able to make basic meals for their child.
Must have a flexible schedule.
Up-to-date vaccinations (Tdap, Flu, COVID-19, and Booster).
CPR and First-Aid certifications
