Compensation & Benefits: $30 to $50 per hour DOE. PTO (2 weeks paid vacation, federal holidays, and sick days).
Start Date: January 2027

A loving family in Tribeca, New York, NY is seeking a nurturing, knowledgeable nanny to support their household and care for their 3-month-old child. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with infants and takes genuine joy in supporting a child through each developmental milestone. This person will engage the child through play, activities, and outings while helping maintain a consistent, comforting daily routine. Someone who is patient, creative, calm, and truly enjoys fostering a fun and supportive environment for an infant would be a wonderful fit. A background as an educator, or in early childhood development, is preferred.
In addition to childcare, the family would appreciate help with supportive household tasks that keep the home running smoothly. Responsibilities may include managing the child's schedule, planning activities and playdates, running occasional errands, family laundry, cleaning dishes and sanitizing bottles, simple meal preparation when introducing solids, and light tidying around the home. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, organized, warm in presence, and proactive in communication.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Providing attentive care for the family's 3-month-old child, including age-appropriate play, activities, and outings
Maintaining the child's daily routine, including meals, naps, and developmental activities
Planning fun and enriching activities that encourage learning and creativity
Preparing simple meals and snacks when the child is ready for solids (and occasionally assisting with family meal prep)
Handling family laundry and keeping the child's spaces tidy and organized
Occasionally picking up the slack around the house (loading and unloading the dishwasher, taking out the trash, wiping down surfaces, and keeping shared spaces tidy and organized)
Running occasional errands (groceries, pickups, and similar)
Communicating proactively and consistently with the family
Helping keep the household running smoothly while offering extra support to the family during this season
Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
A minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience
Long-term experience with a previous family, with valid references
Experience caring for newborns and infants
Developmental certificate and/or a background in education
Fluent English speaker
Ideally a mature candidate
CPR and First Aid certified
Up-to-date vaccinations (Flu, COVID-19, and booster)
Willing and able to travel with the family occasionally
Nice to Have:
Reads and speaks French
A calming, grounded presence
Discreet and flexible
Collaborative, with a clear understanding of boundaries
Minimal phone use around the baby
Familiar with the Montessori approach
