Flexible Nanny Needed for Newborn in the West Village

A loving family in Manhattan, NY, is looking for a nanny that’s a team player for their newborn, expected in April. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with newborn experience. Someone that can create a safe and stimulating atmosphere for the newborn. (E,g, reading to the newborn, playing with them, planning activities, coordinating the family calendar, keeping their things organized, and more.)

The nanny must be professional, creative, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Lastly, the nanny must be comfortable working with a busy but hands-on family and is comfortable traveling with them.

This position is a rotational position, consisting of both Live-in and Live-out:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. (50+hrs. a week.) Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
The family travels to their farm in Hobart, NY, so a nanny is expected to join over the Summer. There will be a separate room and bath.
When the family is in the city, the position is live-out.
When the family is at their farm, the position is live-in, with the option of return to their residence on off days (E,g, leaving Friday nights and returning the following Monday mornings)

Pets:
The family has three very friendly cats.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $30-$45 per hour, PTO (e.g., paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.
Private Bedroom, including private bathroom when traveling.
Insurance Reimbursement/Stipend
Public Transportation Pass

Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is very open about Covid.

Start Date: Begins on 04/20/2023. This is a long-term role.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the newborn
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of the newborn
Adhere to the newborn’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any school work, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping the newborn active and engage
Ability to make very simple meals for the newborn.
Laundry for the newborn.
Manage all aspects of the newborn’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.

Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Newborn experience
Associates Degree, or Higher
Driver’s License
Basic Tech Savvy
Must know how to swim
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
