Families Location: Battery Park City, New York, NY (Closer to Tribeca)
Number of children and Age: 2 children, 4-year-old and 2-year-old daughter.
Type of Position: 40-hours
Schedule: 1:00pm–6:00pm on Mondays and Fridays and 7:45am–6:00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The family is open to adjusting the weekly schedule to accommodate the right candidate’s availability.
Compensation & benefits: $40-$45 Healthcare OMNY contribution (PTO, federal holidays and 5 sick days.).
Start Date: ASAP
Travel Required: None.

A friendly and relaxed family in Battery Park City is looking for a dependable, long-term nanny/family assistant to support their household and care for their two daughters, ages 2.5 and 4 years old. They are seeking someone with experience caring for multiple children who can confidently manage school drop-offs and pickups, coordinate transportation to activities, and provide attentive, engaging care throughout the afternoon and early evening.

The ideal candidate will foster a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where both children can thrive and continue to grow developmentally. The schedule guarantees a minimum of 40 hours per week, with hours typically running from 1:00pm–6:00pm on Mondays and Fridays and 7:45am–6:00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The family is open to adjusting the weekly schedule to accommodate the right candidate’s availability.

They value a nanny who is organized, proactive, communicative, and respectful of the family’s parenting approach. A candidate who can build a strong, lasting relationship with the children and become a trusted part of the household is highly desired.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide attentive, nurturing care for two children (ages 4 and 2.5)
Create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, play, and learning experiences
Support emotional development, routines, and positive behavior
Support potty training
Pick up children from school and transport them safely to after-school activities
Manage afternoon and evening routines, including snacks and transitions
Communicate schedule updates and daily highlights with parents
Prepare simple, healthy snacks or simple meals for the children
Keep children’s areas organized and tidy
Assist with light child-related tasks (laundry, organizing toys, packing bags)
Maintain open, respectful communication with parents
Follow and support the family’s parenting style and childcare preferences
Bonus / Nice-to-Have: Use Mandarin with the children if fluent (not required)

Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
A minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience.
Experience in caring for Toddlers and Pre-K children.
Must be comfortable with basic food prep for their children.
Mandarin Speaker, Nice-to-Have but not required.
Up-to-date vaccinations (Tdap, Flu, COVID-19, and Booster).
CPR and First-Aid certifications
