Fun and Loving Nanny Needed in Morningside Heights

A loving family in Morningside Heights is looking for a creative, loving nanny for their 2.5 year old daughter. Their daughter is described as being a cheerful and chatty girl with a silly sense of humor and endless energy. So the ideal candidate for this role is someone who is energetic, fun and engaging. Someone who can take her to the playground, classes and come up with many fun activities to do together. The candidate will also be tasked to help with light housework, grocery shopping, and keeping their daughters' things organized. The candidate should also know how to cook for their daughter, but for religious reasons there will be no shellfish and pork in the household. Nanny must also be familiar with using an inhaler. Their daughter has a cough variant asthma and uses the inhaler 3-4 times a day. Lastly, one of the parents has a flexible schedule to work from home. The nanny must be comfortable working in close partnership with both parents when they are at home.
This position is full-time, live-out:
The schedule is Monday through Friday (45 hrs. a week.).
Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
Pet Care:
The family has a cat, a 9-year-old Tabby cat. The pet is very shy around people.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $27-$30 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.

The family is open about Covid.
Start Date: Begins on 06/19/2023. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their child
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of their child
Adhere to their child’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their child active and engage
Ability to make very simple meals for their child.
Laundry for their child.
Light housekeeping
Grocery shopping
Manage all aspects of their child’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, etc.
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 3 years of professional Nanny experience
Minimum of 3 references
Experience working with toddlers and school age children
Strong Cooking Skills
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
Ability to swim is a plus
Driver’s license is a plus
Must be comfortable around cats
