Families Location: Upper West Side, New York, NY
Number of children and Age: Two children, 23 months old and 6-week-old. The primary focus is the infant.
Type of Position: Full-time, live-out position.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Compensation & benefits: $30-$35/hr. DOE. PTO (2-weeks paid vacation, 6 federal holidays and 5 sick days.)
Start Date: February 9th start.
Travel Required: No.
Additional info: Family is seeking a French-speaker; must be comfortable in a 3rd-floor walk-up.

A warm, loving family on the Upper West Side, New York, NY is seeking a nurturing and gentle nanny to care for their two young children, a curious 23-month-old toddler and their 6-week-old. The primary focus will be on the infant, while their oldest is in daycare. The ideal candidate should have a solid experience with both infants and toddlers, as well as a strong understanding of early developmental milestones.
The family lives in a brownstone on the third floor, so they’re looking for someone comfortable with a three-story walk-up. They are a French-American family raising their children bilingual, and they are seeking someone who speaks French.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide warm, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care for an infant and a 23-month-old toddler.
Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that support early learning, motor skills, language development, and curiosity.
Follow the family’s routines, parenting style, and daily structure with consistency and respect.
Occasionally assist in pick up the toddler from daycare
Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children.
Handle diaper changes, bottle preparation, feeding, naps, and general infant care with confidence.
Maintain a safe and clean environment, including light child-related tidying (toys, bottles, dishes, children’s laundry)
Comfortably navigate a three-story walk-up with children and their belongings.
Communicate regularly with the parents about the children’s daily progress, milestones, and needs.
Incorporate French language into daily interactions, songs, or activities.
Avoid screens, or phone use while with their infant.
Qualifications:
US Work authorization.
A minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience.
Experience in caring for newborns & toddlers
Must be able to make basic meals for their child
French Speaker is a plus
Up-to-date vaccinations (Tdap, Flu, COVID-19, and Booster).
CPR and First-Aid certifications
