A laid-back family is looking for a career nanny to start with their daughter, a 2.5-year-old in April. The family lives in Brooklyn Heights and would like someone with experience working there. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with experience working with both newborns and toddlers. Someone who is fun, loving, and patient. Their oldest daughter loves meeting new friends, walking, coloring, and reading books. She loves books! So someone who can read with her, take her to the bookstore and library, and create an enriching environment filled with play, learning, and laughter for their child would be great. The family travels to their home in Hampton. Nanny must be open to traveling once in a while with family.
Start Date (Contact date): in April.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 am - 6 pm, (50-hrs a week.)
Live-out/in: Live out.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly pay is $30-$35 an hour.
PTO, including paid federal holidays. There are two weeks of vacation, 5 sick days and a discretionary performance bonus.

The family is open about Covid but asks that the applicant is up to date on vaccinations.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the toddler (there is also a full-time housekeeper)
Ability to change diapers and eventually potty train.
To ensure they stay stocked, keep track of child’s items (e.g., diapers, wipes, milk, etc.).
Engaged in facilitating intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, enrichment, reading, flashcards, games and active play, etc.)
Will find activities in the neighborhood to suggest, for example, classes or playgroups.
Outgoing and friendly (i.e., will make friends with other nannies, arrange playdates, etc.)
Ability to make school lunches and very simple meals for the toddler
Adhere to the child’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, any afterschool activities, etc.)
Light housekeeping (e,g, emptying and loading dishwasher, cleaning up after children, doing child’s laundry.)
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 3 years of professional Nanny experience
Minimum of 3 amazing references
Newborn experience
Passport Ready
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
