
Loving and Engaging Nanny Needed for Infant on the UWS

Families Location: Upper West Side, Manhattan, NY
Number of children and Age: 1 child, 11-month-old daughter.
Type of Position: Full time, Live out. Must be flexible.
Schedule: 40 hrs, 3 days 7am-5:30pm and 2 days later start time. Schedule will be confirm with parents & nanny
Compensation & benefits: $30-$35/hr gross. DOE. PTO (2-weeks paid vacation, paid federal holidays, 5 sick days.). OMNY Card & Healthcare Stipend
Start Date: ASAP
Travel Required: Some travel may be required, but not often
Family Overview:
Caring, professional parents residing on the Upper West Side, Manhattan, are seeking a professional and reliable nanny to care for their 11-month-old daughter. The ideal candidate will have a strong background providing care to infants and toddlers, along with a strong understanding of their developmental milestones. They must facilitate safe activities that foster their daughters’ growth, curiosity and understanding.
The family is looking for someone who is nurturing, flexible, communicative, trustworthy, and organized. The nanny should be respectful and supportive of the family’s parenting style and childcare preferences. In addition, the nanny must perform household tasks such as light housekeeping for their daughter’s laundry, and meal preparation. One of the parents will be working from home twice a week. Because of this it is expected that the candidate feels comfortable performing their childcare duties alongside the parent. Driving and swimming isn’t required for this opportunity, but is a plus. Family is looking for a long-term placement.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Prioritize safety while adhering to the families' parenting styles and childcare philosophies.
Ability to create healthy meals and snacks for their daughter.
Engage their daughter in activities that promote intellectual and social development, such as music, art, storytelling, and crafts, and encourage social interaction through playdates and group activities.
Assist with arranging playdates so that their daughter can have social interaction.
Assist with bath times and changing clothes.
Assist with light housekeeping, clean dishes, organizing their daughter’s room and play area, diaper bag, bottle and pacifiers sterilizing/cleaning is needed.
Perform related duties such as laundry, tidying their daughter's areas, organizing toys and books, and maintaining diaper bags.
Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
A minimum of 5 years of professional nanny experience.
Experience in caring for infants and toddlers.
Must be able to make basic meals for infants.
Must be open to travel with family.
Must have a flexible schedule.
Up-to-date vaccinations (Tdap, Flu, COVID-19, and Booster).
CPR and First-Aid certifications
