Family Overview
A warm and loving family on the Upper West Side of Manhattan is looking for an experienced and nurturing nanny to care for their 5-month-old daughter. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with infants and be dedicated to supporting her developmental milestones. Responsibilities include accompanying her to physical therapy, occupational therapy, and potentially speech therapy once a week.
The family is seeking a nanny who is attentive, detail-oriented, and joyful—someone who will engage their daughter in safe, stimulating activities and bring happiness and inspiration to her daily life. A strong appreciation for structure and routine is essential for this role.
We are a family that values creativity, learning, and kindness. We enjoy outdoor walks, visiting local parks, and quiet evenings with books and music. We are looking for a nanny who can feel like part of our family.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first! Observe any sudden changes and gestures that are outside normal infant expression. Their daughter has experienced seizures, though they are now under control. Must be able to recognize future seizures if they return (we will help the nanny to know what to look for).
Maintain a daily log of the child’s activities, progress in therapy, and any observations related to her health, as well as to collaborate with our healthcare team as needed.
Maintain a clean environment for their daughter, adhering to the families' parenting styles and childcare philosophies.
Engage their daughter in activities that promote intellectual and social development, such as music, art, storytelling, and crafts, and encourage social interaction through playdates and group activities.
Take their daughter to her weekly therapies (2 or 3x a week).
Learn, apply, and track the exercises from the therapies to help her make progress towards a healthier, fulfilled life.
Assist with bath times and changing clothes.
Assist with light housekeeping, clean dishes, organizing daughter’s room and play area, diaper bag, bottle and pacifiers sterilizing/cleaning is needed.
Manage daily routines, including mealtime, nap, and play schedules for their daughter.
Ability to prepare baby bottles as well as solid food.
Perform related duties such as laundry, tidying children's areas, organizing toys and books, and maintaining diaper bags.
