A wonderful family in Menlo Park, CA is looking for a loving nanny with a background in Early childhood education for their two children, ages 4-year-old and a 1-year-old. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who practices gentle parenting methods and has experience working with multiple children. The nanny must have the ability to create an engaging, joyful, and enthusing atmosphere that is safe for their children. Such as reading to them, talking, facilitating fun and safe developmental activities, coordinating the family’s calendar, keeping their things organized, and more. Someone who can take the children on adventures to museums, zoos and creative spaces. The nanny should be caring, proactive, a self-starter, and know how to troubleshoot issues independently. Lastly, both parents have flexible schedules to work from home. The nanny must be comfortable working in close partnership with both parents.
This position is flexible. The position can be either live-in or live-out:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (40 hrs. a week.) Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
Pet Household:
The family will be getting a small dog.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $35-$40 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.
Separate room with its walk-in closet and bathroom that on a separate floor
Covid Risk Tolerance:
The family is open about Covid. They wear masks only while traveling.
Start Date: Begins on ASAP. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the children
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Manage daily care and supervision of the children
Adhere to the children’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any school work, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping the children active and engage
Ability to make very simple meals for the children.
Laundry for the children.
Manage all aspects of the children’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 5 years of professional Nanny experience
Multiple Children experience
Passport
Driver’s license and Clean driving record
Bachelor’s Degree, or higher is a plus
Must know how to swim
Up to date on all vaccinations
Covid vaccination and boosted
CPR and First-Aid certifications
