Two loving families in San Francisco, CA are searching for a wonderful nanny for their infants. They are looking for a candidate experienced in infant care, and it is a plus if they are familiar with the Montessori method. The ideal candidate should have experience working with multiple children. and must be able to facilitate a fun, loving, and stimulating atmosphere for both children.
Beyond philosophical knowledge, the nanny should also possess traits of organization, punctuality, proactivity, self-motivation, and the ability to independently troubleshoot issues. A valid driver's license is required for this role.
This position is a flexible, full-time live-out:
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. This position will be held at one location.
Additional hours may be required with notice. So, an ideal candidate who is flexible.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $40-$50 per hour, PTO (e.g, paid federal holidays, two weeks of vacation, and sick days.)
A discretionary performance bonus.
Covid Risk Tolerance:
The ideal candidate would be vaccinated and would take reasonable steps to help prevent spreading germs (wear a mask if she has the sniffles/cough).
Start Date: ASAP. This is a long-term role.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Safety first.
Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of the children
Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
Able to utilize their knowledge of Rudolf Steiner and Waldorf philosophies
Manage daily care and supervision of children
Adhere to their son’s schedule (e.g., feeding, playtime and nap schedule)
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., engage multiple senses and encourage creativity like artistic activities, such as music, painting, storytelling, and handcrafts, etc.)
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their son active and engaged
Ability to bottle feed, and feed baby solid whether it’s puree or baby-led weaning. Laundry
Manage all aspects of their son’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc.
Qualifications:
US, Work Authorization
Minimum of 4 years of professional nanny experience
Infant and toddler experience
Early Childhood Development Background
Waldorf Education or Montessori Method is a Huge plus
Driver’s License
Up to date on all vaccinations, (Tdap, flu, and COVID 19 & Booster)
CPR and First-Aid certifications
