Families Location: Darien, CT (may relocate to Greenwich)
Number of children and Age: 1 child, 1.5-year-old son, possibly growing family
Type of Position: Full-time, Live-out (Monday-Friday) or Live-in. Open to either for the right candidate
Schedule: 8am-5pm with occasional date nights
Compensation & benefits: $35-$40 DOE. PTO (2-weeks paid vacation, federal holidays and sick days.).
Start Date: Mid October
Travel Required: Some Travel

Family Overview:
A loving family relocating from NYC to Darien, is seeking a mother’s helper. The ideal candidate is someone with experience working with babies and toddlers who enjoys engaging children through play, activities, and outings. Someone who is patient, creative, and genuinely enjoys fostering a fun and supportive environment for a young child would be a wonderful fit.

In addition to childcare, since you will be working alongside a hands-on mom, the nanny will be supportive of household tasks that keep the home running smoothly. Responsibilities may include managing the child’s schedule, planning activities, running occasional errands, family laundry, simple meal preparation, and light tidying around the home. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and happy to step in where needed.

Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Providing attentive care for the family’s 1.5-year-old son, including engaging in age-appropriate play, activities, and outings
Maintaining the child’s daily routine, including meals, naps, and developmental activities
Planning fun and enriching activities that encourage learning and creativity
Preparing simple meals and snacks for the child (and assisting with family meal prep)
Family laundry and keeping the child’s spaces tidy and organized
Light household support such as tidying common areas, unloading/loading the dishwasher, and general organization
Running occasional errands (groceries, pickups, etc.)
Maintaining a health-conscious environment and being mindful of illness prevention


Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
A minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience.
Experience in caring for infants.
Experience in caring for toddlers.
Preferred: childhood education or related background.
Drivers license. Preferred: own car
Up-to-date vaccinations
CPR and First-Aid certifications
A second language like Spanish is a plus
